Developed in Academia - Designed for the Real World
The Level 3 Foundation and Advanced Diploma in Engineering was developed by an experienced engineering academic with over thirty years in UK higher education, professional body academic accreditation experience, and a track record of delivering engineering programmes through transnational education partnerships in South East Asia.
The qualification is structured as two stackable 60-credit stages, covering engineering mathematics, engineering science, mechanical engineering principles, electrical and electronic engineering principles, with advanced topics in all four disciplines.
Assessment is portfolio-based and assignment-led throughout, with a three-tier grading model. Annual assignment rotation maintains assessment integrity across cohorts and delivery locations.
The qualification is positioned explicitly as a pathway to Level 4 engineering programmes at university — meeting the academic and analytical expectations of engineering admissions teams at the point of progression.

For Delivery Centres
For Learners
For University Partners
Approved delivery centres receive a complete resource pack including student notes, tutor slide presentations, assignment briefs, and marking schemes — everything needed to deliver the qualification from day one. Centre approvals are managed through the awarding organisation.
The Foundation and Advanced Diploma in Engineering provides a structured, academically rigorous pathway from Level 3 study to university engineering programmes. Whether you are studying full-time, part-time, or through a distance learning provider, this qualification is designed to take you where you want to go.
The qualification has been designed with HE progression as its primary purpose. Its curriculum maps closely to the foundational content of first-year engineering degree programmes, and its assessment model develops the analytical and independent thinking skills that universities expect at entry to Level 4.
